#Goatposse

#TheGoatPosse is a wonderful group of writers and friends who met online via various social media sites and eventually converged on Twitter. We used to tweet under the #goatposse hashtag, but, well... I won't be rude. :-) Now we use #thegoatposse if you want to follow along. Or even easier, you can click that cute little goat logo right there to be taken to my goat posse twitter list to follow us.

I love these guys and gals. They've been an amazing support network over the past few years, and they're all talented writers at various points in their career paths. So without further delay, let me introduce you to my posse:

Darke Conteur

Darke Conteur is an writer at the mercy of her Muse. Author of stories in several genres, she prefers to create within the realms of the three 'S'; Science Fiction, the Supernatural, and Steampunk. Some with erotic elements. She has stories published in several online magazines including Bewildering Stories and Aphelion. When not busy writing, she looks after one husband, one wannabe rock star, three cats, and one ghost dog. Darke blogs Here, Twitters Here, & plays Facebook games Here.

Angela Cook

Young adult writer Angela Cook lives a very unexciting, but never boring (if that makes sense), life with her husband and two children just outside of Detroit. When she's not working or going blind from staring at a blinking cursor, she can be found driving unappreciative kids to and from orthodontist appointments and soccer practices in her *cringes* minivan. (p.s. her next vehicle is sooo not going to have sliding doors.) Angela can be found at angelavcook.blogspot.com and on Twitter at @AngelaVCook.

Bethany Crandell

Bethany and her husband Terry live in San Diego with their two daughters and a chocolate Labrador who has no consideration for personal space. She writes Young Adult novels because the feelings that come with life’s ‘first’ times are too good not to relive again and again. Bethany eats too much guacamole, thrives on tear-inducing laughter, and is still waiting for Jake Ryan to show up at her door.

Check out Bethany's website here, and tweet her here.

Eric Devine

Young Adult fiction author of Dare MeTap Out, and This Side of Normal, as well as a high school English teacher. I married my high school sweetheart, and together we are raising two daughters in Upstate, NY. Kate McKean of the Howard Morhaim Literary Agency is my amazing agent.

Mary Frame (find her on Twitter!)

Mary Frame is a full time mother and wife with a full time job. She has no idea how she manages to write novels, except that it involves copious amounts of wine.

She doesn't enjoy writing about herself in third person, but she does enjoy reading, writing, dancing, and damaging the ear drums of her co-workers when she randomly decides to sing to them.

She lives in Reno, Nevada with her husband, two children and a border collie named Stella. Find her on her blog, Twitter, or Facebook.

Justin Holley

You can find Justin's short fiction published within the pages of the magazines: Tales From the Moonlit Path, SNM Horror, Trei Literary, Writer’s Together, The Odd Mind, and Ghost Light, as well as, the anthologies: Atrum Tempestas, Zombie Chronicles, and Dreadful Delusions. Two of his short stories have been converted to script by Roy C. Booth. He's also a proud member of Great Lakes Association of Horror Writers, and a writing group made up of mostly agented and/or published authors called the Goat Posse.

A.G. Howard

A.G. Howard was inspired to write SPLINTERED while working at a school library. She always wondered what would've happened had the subtle creepiness of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland taken center stage, and she hopes her darker and funkier tribute to Carroll will inspire readers to seek out the stories that won her heart as a child. When she's not writing, A.G.'s pastimes are reading, rollerblading, gardening, and family vacations which often include impromptu side trips to 18th century graveyards or condemned schoolhouses to appease her overactive muse.  Connect with her at www.aghoward.com

Precy Larkins

Precy Larkins is a mother by day, a dreamer by night, and a writer in between. She grew up in the Philippines, a country steeped in superstitions and rumors of enchanted beings roaming the woods. She now lives in Utah, where she still occasionally hunts for fairies, with her husband and three kids. When she’s not teaching her preschooler how to tie his shoelaces, she writes stories that transport her to unexplored places.

Precy maintains a blog and a Twitter account, where her friends know her affectionately by her nickname, Cherie. Her Young Adult Contemporary Fantasy novel, HIDDEN, is a story of a girl battling demons in her head only to find out they are real. With dark magick and soul-suckers on the loose, and a boy who can’t be trusted, she must use her visions to survive the world hidden beyond her own.

Kerri Maniscalco

Kerri Maniscalco grew up in a small town just outside of New York City where her love of the arts was fostered from an early age. When she’s not reading or writing young adult novels, she can be found roaming city streets armed with her favorite journal, drinking entirely too much green tea, or in her kitchen where she’s a crazy foodie at heart. She currently splits her time between New York and Knoxville. Her writing is represented by Barbara Poelle of the Irene Goodman Literary Agency.

Kalen O'Donnell

 Lisa Ann O'Kane

Lisa Ann O’Kane is a young adult author and former vagabond who once camped out in Yosemite National Park for an entire summer, an experience that inspired her debut novel Essence.

Her background is in zookeeping and environmental education, and she has been kicked, cornered, bitten and chased by nearly every animal she has ever loved. She currently resides in Florida, and she is now a huge fan of shooting stars, indoor plumbing and keeping both her feet planted firmly on the trail.

Suzanne Payne

Suzanne Payne is a twenty plus year music teacher that wanted to branch out creatively and find a different career when she retired from her teaching gig. Being a kid with a good imagination, making up stories used to get her out of trouble. Now, she’s doing it just for fun. Working on her romance novel, ‘Starstruck’ she hopes to have it finished by the end of this year. Suzanne loves talking to her writer buddies she’s met after starting this new adventure in writing and hopes to have her own novel on shelves or in ebook form in the next two years. She’s already started her collection of printed copies of all her friends’ books. She has three so far and three more on the way in the next year. You can find her on Twitter @suzannefpayne. Her blog is http://suzannepayne.blogspot.com

Jennifer Prescott

Writer, master of espionage, producer of feral boys, assailant of fearsome creatures of cryptozoology such as the Mngwa and the Dobhar-Chu.

Riley Redgate

Riley Redgate is a bookstore-and-Starbucks-dweller from North Carolina. She enjoys writing about first kisses, awkwardness, self-doubt, and other joys of adolescence, especially in dark and/or dangerous speculative settings. Her short fiction has appeared in Bad Austen, and she is represented by Caryn Wiseman of Andrea Brown Literary Agency. She blogs at rileyredgate.tumblr.com and tries to cram full thoughts into 140 characters at twitter.com/rileyredgate.

A. Lynden Rolland

A. Lynden Rolland was born and raised in Annapolis, Maryland, a picturesque town obsessed with boats and blue crabs. As a child she spent much of her free time compiling dramatic stories of tragic characters in a weathered notebook which she still keeps. She is a sports fanatic, a coffee addict, and a lover of Sauvignon Blanc, thunderstorms and autumn leaves.

She is a former high school English teacher and a mother of two who moonlights as a writing tutor and gymnastics instructor. When she isn't chasing her two vivacious boys or arguing about football with her husband, she can be found hiding behind a laptop at her local bookstore. She is represented by Rachael Dugas of Talcott Notch Literary Services. Of Breakable Things, her debut novel, will be released by Month9Books in the spring of 2014. You can also find her on Twitter or her website.

Michelle Simkins

Michelle is a freelance writer, nature lover, amateur photographer, knitter, and gardener exploring the Pacific Northwest. Find her on Twitter or her website.

A.M. Supinger

A.M.Supinger is Floridian living in South Dakota—which might explain why all her characters end up in far-flung places. She writes YA and dark fantasy, and occasionally experiments with erotica. She’s had several short stories published through Elephant Bookshelf Press, and one on the Oysters & Chocolate e-zine.
